The dutch air force has confirmed its addition the dynamic international lineup for the Scampton Airshow.

The inaugural Scampton Airshow, which will take place between September 9 – 10, 2017, aims to show off more than 100 aircraft over the weekend – which now includes the dutch F-16 Fighting Falcons – as well as the colourful heritage of the air force base.

The Canadian CF-18, the Belgian F-16s, the French Alpha Jets, the Typhoon, and – of course – the Red Arrows, will also be attending the event over the action-packed weekend, which includes an incredible 5-hour flight display.

As well as this, the show will allow visitors to meet crews from around the world in the static park, including our very own serving men and women of the Royal Air Force (RAF).

Admission for the under-16s is free, so all members of the family can get involved. Activities include adrenaline-pumping flight simulators, fair ground rides, classic car shows, and even a pleasure helicopter flight.

Organisers also hope that members of the public will enjoy learning about the fascinating 100-year history of the air force base, including its involvement in WW1, WW2, and throughout the Cold War, which can be experienced fully in the Heritage Hangar.

If this tickles your tastebuds, the theme continues into the Vintage Village, where re-enactors, old military vehicles, entertainment, and music can be found, taking visitors back to a bygone era.

The inaugural show really does have something for everyone this year and it is definitely something to look forward to for when the kids go back to school.

Airshow director, Paul Sall, has welcomed the Fighting Falcons to the line-up, saying “the static lineup is shaping up to be something very special.”
