Dramatic picture shows 100 tonnes of straw on fire overnight in Lincolnshire village

The fire has continued through the night.

Crews have been dealing with 100 tonnes of baled straw on fire in a Lincolnshire village.

Firefighters from Horncastle and Spilsby were initially called to the blaze on Blacksmith Road in Miningsby at 10.36pm on Sunday, August 13.

The straw was allowed to burn out under supervision of the Horncastle crew.

Surrounding areas were damped down using two hose reels.

The fire has continued through the night and crews from Woodhall Spa are now watching it burn out under supervision.
