Elderly woman suffers serious injuries after car cuts across oncoming bus

Police are appealing for witnesses.

An elderly woman has suffered serious injuries following an incident in Grimsby yesterday.

The driver of a small white car was travelling along Freeman Street, at the junction of Wellington Street, at 9.30am on August 1 when it allegedly pulled out in front of a bus.

This is believed to have caused the single decker bus to brake sharply.

The car then turned towards Asda.

An elderly passenger on the bus fell from her seat and suffered serious injuries in the incident.

Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident.
