Despite being diagnosed with blood cancer, and going through a stem cell transplant, Emma continuously worked on her knight to ensure it was completed on time.

Back in January, Emma told The Lincolnite that her studies in the History of Art inspired her artwork and her inspiration for her design came from tapestries by artist Edward Burnt-Jones.

Alongside her work on the Knights’ Trail, Emma’s printmaking was previously exhibited at Christ Church College, Oxford, highlighting her talent.

She was living with her family in Lincolnshire and working on creative projects whilst recovering from her transplant.
