Tanker driver dies at scene of crash north of Spalding, with roads still closed 20 hours later

A tanker driver has died at the scene of a crash north of Spalding.

The local man in his 40s was driving the white tanker along Cheal Lane at around 1pm on Wednesday, September 13.

A police spokesperson has confirmed that the tanker was not containing any hazardous contents.

Roads are still closed between the Beach Bank junction and the Northgate junction.

Motorists should continue to avoid the area for the next few hours.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
