Four crews battle fire involving several caravans in village

Firefighters have been at the scene since around midnight.

Four fire crews have been battling a blaze involving several disused caravans in a village overnight.

Both crews from Grantham, as well as firefighters from Sleaford and Brant Broughton were called out to Lincoln Road, Honington, at 11.58pm on Thursday, November 9.

Crews initially used two hose reels to extinguish the blaze involved what has been described as “a quantity of disused caravans”.

A tweet in the early hours of the morning said that a pump from Grantham and water carrier from Holbeach were still in attendance.
