‘Homophobic’ tweets by Lincolnshire WAG and I’m a Celeb star Rebekah Vardy unearthed

This comes less than 24 hours after YouTuber Jack Maynard was booted off the show.

Fans of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here have discovered alleged homophobic tweets by contestant and Lincolnshire WAG Rebekah Vardy.

The tweets by the wife of England and Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, who lives in Stainby near Grantham, date back to 2013 and 2014.

One tweet on Rebekah’s account from 2014 reads: “Whatsap….gay….sort it out” with another from 2013 using the phrase “ginger gay w***** pmsl”.

However, one of Rebekah’s friends Jay Walker, who was linked to the latter tweet, tweeted: “I hate to disappoint people by this tweet was to me & we were all just repeating names a guy had called us…

“Nothing homophobic about it & actually mocking someone who had been.

“Rebekah is the least homophobic or malicious person I know so afraid your [sic] all very much mistaken.

“Good luck Mrs Vardy.”

It is still unknown what repercussions Rebekah will receive from the tweets.

This discovery comes less than 24 hours after hosts Ant and Dec announced on last night’s show that YouTube star Jack Maynard was removed from the show after homophobic tweets were found on his Twitter account from 2012.

Fellow contestant Amir Khan has also been accused of tweeting homophobic comments.
