Lincolnshire firefighters raise record amount for charity with Santa sleigh tour

A fantastic effort.

The festive season might be over, but Lincolnshire firefighters still have a reason to celebrate.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue collected a record-breaking £30,000 by touring the county with Santa on a musical sleigh over the Christmas period.

The donations collected will be distributed to The Fire Fighters Charity and other causes and institutions such as St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice.

The fire department has thanked all the residents for their generous donations.

Mark Baxter, area manager response, said: “It’s amazing to see the work and commitment that our firefighters put in to raising funds for charity, but also how warmly welcomed and supported throughout the county they were in the communities they serve.”

The Fire Fighters Charity helps and supports current and ex-firemen and their families through these donations.
