Man threatens Grantham Co-op staff with handgun during armed robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses.

A man has threatened staff working at a Co-op in Grantham with what police believe was a black handgun.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the armed robbery at the store on Princess Drive at around 8pm on Wednesday, January 24.

Lincolnshire Police said that offender entered the shop before threatening staff with what appeared to be a handgun.

He then left with an amount of cash.

No-one was harmed.

The suspect was wearing a dark jacket with hood up, grey jogging bottoms and grey trainers.

A police spokesperson said: “As well as appealing to anyone who has information that could assist the enquiry, officers would like to hear from anyone with dash cam footage that may have captured the offender on his way into or out of the Co-op.

“If your dash cam was running in the area of Princess Drive between 7.30pm an 8.30pm please call the police on 101 with incident reference number 369 of January 24.”
