No escaping grey and wintery weather in Lincoln this weekend

This story is over

January may be out of the way, but there’s no escaping grey and wintery weather just yet in Lincoln.

This weekend, the area is set for a mainly dry, but cold and dreary couple of days.

A frost is likely to form overnight on Friday, February 2 and Saturday will begin with temperatures of around one degree Celsius.

Some scattered showers of light rain or sleet will fall in Lincoln and Lincolnshire during Saturday, according to Met Office forecasters.

The odd wintery shower is likely near to the coast.

Elsewhere there will be sunny intervals and maximum temperatures of five degrees Celsius.

The outlook for Sunday so far is cold throughout with a cloudy start. Rain or sleet will be broken up by some sunny spells.
