Meet Bailey, Jameson, Tia Maria and Skyy, the newborn kittens dumped in Lincoln pub toilets

Adorable.

Four newborn kittens who were left to the elements when they were dumped in the toilets of a pub in Lincoln are now in safe hands. We went to see fosterer Moira, who is helping to keep them safe.

The kittens were abandoned in a bag on the floor of the men’s toilets in the Lincoln High Street (Ritz) Weatherspoon pub on Wednesday, February 28 at around 8pm.

Dumped without any food or bedding, and without their mum at such a young age, the kittens would have certainly died had they not been rescued.

Luckily, a sharp staff member found the bag-for-life and tracked through the thickening snow to an RSPCA fosterer.

Now affectionately named Bailey, Jameson, Tia Maria and Skyy, they’re in safe hands and will hopefully reach adoption age.

The RSPCA has said it has already received many enquiries.

Staff are still appealing for help to trace the person responsible.

Inspector Rebecca Lowe said: “It’s very early days for these kittens as they are far too young to be away from their mum.

“The staff at the pub are reviewing CCTV to check whether it’s possible to see anyone go into the men’s toilets with a bag and leave without it but at this stage this is not clear.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have information about how these kittens came to be abandoned to contact us, in strictest confidence, on the inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018.”

Wetherspoons spokesman Eddie Gershon said previously: “We applaud the efforts of our staff at The Ritz pub in Lincoln.

“Their actions saved the kittens and we are delighted that the kittens are all okay.”
