Lincoln drivers face another gridlocked rush hour

Roadworks across Lincoln are delaying traffic throughout the city for a second day.

Roadworks in Lincoln are causing heavy traffic through the city for a second day.

As previously reported, both Tentecroft Street and Wragby Road are undergoing maintenance work this week, leading to heavy queues for motorists.

Tentercroft Street will be closed until Thursday, May 31 due to Anglian Water works.

Traffic travelling east is diverted to High Street and South Park Avenue, A15 Canwick Road, Portland Street and Cross Street.

Wragby Road will be closed overnight as part of a major project in uphill Lincoln. Find out more here.

Broadgate is backed up through Lindum Road and traffic is also at a standstill along St Mary’s Street at the time of writing.

The gridlock in the area is only expected to get worse as rush hour approaches.
