Month of road repairs in Market Deeping

Overnight road repairs for a month.

Overnight repairs to sections of carriageway on the B1525 will cause some road closures and diversions for nearly a month starting next week.

Sections of carriageway between Church Street and Horsegate Farm Close will be replaced starting on Thursday, May 17 between 6pm and midnight each evening and including weekends.

The work is expected to be completed on Tuesday, June 12.

Although the works will be completed by midnight each day, road closures will remain in place until later so that newly laid surface can cool before the early morning commuter traffic uses it.

Affected sections of the road will be closed during the works, with traffic diverted via the B1525, A1175, A15 and B1525.

Access will be maintained for residents and local businesses only.

Some temporary parking restrictions will be also be in force for the duration of the works.

Senior project leader Steve Brooks said: “These sections of road have reached the end of their serviceable life. This work will ensure they remain fit for purpose for many years.

“We intend to do everything we can to minimise disruption, including carrying out the works overnight to lessen the impact on the traveling public.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and ask for your patience while we make these much-need improvements.”
