Major delays after Carholme roundabout incident

Police advise to avoid the area if possible

Update: Lincolnshire Police have since confirmed the incident is “now being classed as a lorry breakdown rather than a road traffic collision”.

The lorry has now been moved and the road re-opened, so traffic should be moving ok.


There are long queues of traffic in Lincoln after a crash involving a lorry and a transit van on the A46 Carholme roundabout.

The incident happened at around 1.50pm on Thursday, June 7 and there are lengthy delays after the crash.

There were no injuries in the incident.

Police are advising motorists to avoid the area if possible.
