Police cordon as firefighters tackle Coningsby blaze

Four appliances have been dispatched to a fire near Indian restaurant, Agra Tandoori.

A police cordon is in place on Coningsby High Street as firefighters work to put out a fire.

Update 14:45: The fire is out and investigators say they are now looking into the cause.

Four appliances, from Woodhall Spa, Billinghay, Sleaford and Metheringham stations, have been dispatched by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue to a blaze near to the Agra Tandoori Indian restaurant.

Members of the RAF police are also present to maintain the cordon and direct pedestrians and vehicles away.

According to Google Maps traffic in the area is extremely slow moving, so motorists are being advised to avoid the village if possible.
