Carpet, rugs, flooring and beds retailer Carpetright has said it no longer plans to close its Lincoln branch.
As previously reported, both the Lincoln store on Tritton Road and the Scunthorpe store on Queensway were set to close as part of a rescue deal for the firm.
However, the retailer has now confirmed the Lincoln store will no longer close. At the time of writing, plans still remain for the Scunthorpe closure.
Carpetright also has three other stores in the county in Grimsby, Spalding and Stamford, none of which are set to close.
This comes after chain set out a company voluntary arrangement (CVA)in April this year to allow it to shut its worst-performing stores.
A Carpetright spokesperson said: “We are currently trading as usual in Lincoln with no set plans to close.”
