Lincoln Craft bar to reopen next month

Owners are investing £250,000 to bring the bar back to its former glory.

Popular Lincoln bar Craft is making a comeback following the closure of French Brasserie Côte.

With an aim of opening in mid-August, owners are investing £250,000 in bringing the bar back to former glory and creating 25 jobs.

Work is currently underway to completely transform the former Côte restaurant, which closed in April this year, with essences of the original Craft bar already making an appearance.

As well as bringing back the original beer garden and recreating a new stage area for live music, the bar will also be introducing a new range of experimental cocktails, food and party packages for all occasions.

David Nejrup, Operations Manager at Craft told CityX: “When we sadly closed Craft two years ago, since that period of time, we’ve been asked every single week: ‘When are you bringing Craft back?’

“I feel that the city lost something when we closed it and we are really really happy to have this opportunity to bring it back.”

Craft bar and kitchen first opened on the High Street in 2013 when Dogma closed its doors.

Two years later, it ceased trading and owners accepted an offer from Côte Restaurant Ltd.

Côte then invested in the region of £1 million to refurbish the site.

However, Côte closed without notice in April 2018 when it axed a number of its branches across the country.
