Cyclist injured in Market Rasen crash

The cyclist was seen “severe pain”

A male cyclist was taken to hospital after suffering injuries when falling from a bike on a road between Market and Middle Rasen on Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened on Gainsborough Road, Market Rasen after 12pm on Thursday, August 9.

An eyewitness contacted Lincolnshire Reporter after seeing a cyclist, who was part of a large group of road cyclists, in severe pain following the incident.

A spokesperson for EMAS said: “We received a call at 12:34pm via Lincolnshire Police to attend a patient on Gainsborough Road, Market Rasen who had fallen from their bicycle.

“A double crewed ambulance arrived on the scene and one patient has been taken to Hull Royal Infirmary.”

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “Incident 194 refers to a man who has fallen from a bike. Nothing else appears to be involved. He has sustained a leg injury.”
