Cats dumped in taped up box in Lincolnshire

It is a mystery how they ended up there

Two cats were found dumped in a taped up cardboard box in a Lincolnshire village this week and the RSPCA is appealing for information.

One ginger tabby and white cat, and another brown tabby and white, were discovered dumped on a back road in Friskney at around 10.30am on Monday (October 15).

Fortunately the cats were found in good condition, but it is unclear how they ended up in this situation and as they are not microchipped there is no way of tracing their owner.

RSPCA inspector Becky Harper said: “The cats are in good condition and seem really friendly.

“It appears they were loved and cared for pets so it is a complete mystery how they ended up in this situation.

“One of them is a white and brown tabby young adult male, the other is a ginger tabby and white thought to be five or six months old. They’re both entire and haven’t been neutered.

“Unfortunately neither of them are microchipped so at the moment there is no way of tracing their owner.”

Anyone with information about this case should call the RSPCA appeal line on 0300 123 8018 and ask to leave a message for inspector Becky Harper.
