Sustrans cyclepath set to close for a week

It is part of the Lincoln Eastern Bypass works

Cyclists and pedestrians will be affected by a week-long closure from Monday as part of the Lincoln Eastern Bypass works.

A section of the Sustrans path between Witham Park House in Lincoln and Ferry Lane in Washingborough will be closed from 6am on Monday, October 29 until 6am on Saturday, November 3.

The diversion route for cyclists will be via Ferry Lane and Washingborough Road, which will be closed to vehicular traffic during this time (except construction vehicles), to Canwick Hill/Broadgate.

The diversion route for pedestrians will be via Five Mile Bridge and the footpath on the south of the North Delph.

The closure will provide Galliford Try safe access to install a temporary haul bridge over the Sustrans path, the River Witham and North & South Delphs.
