Man, 28, in hospital with head injury after pub attack

Police now have a description of the suspected attacker

A 28-year-old man remains in hospital with a serious head injury after a pub attack in the early hours of Friday.

As previously reported, it happened at around 2.40am outside the Anchor Pub on Lincoln High Street, when the 28-year-old was knocked to the ground and suffered a head injury.

It’s believed he hit his head on a bollard.

He was taken to Lincoln County Hospital and later transferred to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where he remains in a serious condition.

Police investigators believe the other man involved was in his late twenties, about 5’8″ tall with short dark brown hair.

Officers would like him to make contact with them as soon as possible.

They are also appealing for anyone who was in the area of the pub around 2.30am – 2.45am on Friday morning and saw the incident or know anything about.
