Teen killed in village lorry crash

A local girl has died

A 16-year-old local girl has died after she was hit by a lorry in the village of Osbournby near Sleaford.

As reported at the time, police closed London Road just after 4.30pm on Monday, December 3.

Lincolnshire Police confirmed just before 7am on Tuesday that the teenage pedestrian had died.

A 14-year-old girl was also injured in the crash. Her injuries are not thought to be serious.

A spokesperson from the force said: ” We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of London Road, Osbournby around 4.40pm yesterday afternoon (December 3) and saw the collision or saw a Scania lorry prior to the collision.

“Please call 101 quoting incident 290 of 3rd December.

“We will release more details as soon as we have them.”
