The Botanist cocktail bar coming to Lincoln Cornhill

We’ll drink to that

Popular cocktail bar chain The Botanist is coming to the Cornhill in Lincoln in early 2020.

Lincolnshire Co-op has signed The Botanist for an 8,000 sq ft bar/restaurant split over ground and first floors located in the third phase of the development, which sits opposite to the completed Corn Exchange building.

Between this building and the Corn Exchange will be Exchange Square, providing a new public space for the city, as well as outdoor seating for the Botanist.

It will sit alongside the upcoming Everyman Cinema, Cosy Club, Moss Bros., Flying Tiger Copenhagen, Thomas Cook and Lakeland.

The Botanist plans to transform the space into a botanical haven adorned with trinkets and plants.

Cocktail lovers should be captivated by the magnificent and theatrical presentation of The Botanist’s cocktails.

For beer drinkers, over 60 world-class ales have been carefully curated in to The Ale Inventory.

The Botanist Lincoln will also bring live music every evening from its talented musicians.

There’ll be cocktails, beers and live music to enjoy.

Chris Hill, CEO of New World Trading Company said: “We can’t wait to open the doors to the people of Lincoln, especially as we know the community here has such a passion for food and drink. The combination of award-winning cocktails along with our extensive menu has something for everyone – and we’re positive The Botanist will bring a unique vibe to the city.”

The launch of The Botanist will create new job roles in Lincoln from management, to front of house and kitchen staff. Further information on recruitment will be announced in 2019.

Ursula Lidbetter, Lincolnshire Co-op’s Chief Executive, said: “The Botanist is a great new name to add to the already exciting mix, and we look forward to welcoming local residents and people from further afield who want to experience a day or night out in our unique city.”

Lincoln will host the 19th Botanist cocktail bar.

Tim Bradford, Managing Director at Banks Long & Co, added:We have had some fruitful discussions with a number of great brands who have now got Lincoln on their radar. We are looking forward to welcoming many more brands for the scheme and announcing more of the line up soon.”
