UPDATE: Lincolnshire Police have now sadly confirmed the 20-year-old woman involved in the crash overnight has died from her injuries.
A force spokesperson said in a statement: “Next of kin are aware and we continue to support them.”
A 20-year-old woman was seriously injured in a crash on the B1183 between Horncastle and Scrivelsby overnight.
Lincolnshire Police said the woman was driving an orange Vauxhall Corsa, which collided with a tree at around 5.50pm on Tuesday, January 22.
She has been taken to Lincoln County Hospital.
A police spokesperson appealed for witnesses: “Anyone who was in the area between about 5.30pm and 5.50pm on Tuesday evening and either saw the collision or saw the orange Vauxhall Corsa before the collision is asked to contact 101 and quote incident 315/21.
“The road was closed whilst investigations were carried out.”

Lincolnshire Police have found the body of a missing Lincoln boy.
The force appealed at around 4pm on Sunday, April 11, to find Daniel Coupland, 16, from Lincoln, after he went missing.
At 9.30pm police said that a body has been found, which has been identified as the missing boy.
In a statement, Lincolnshire Police said: “We would like to sincerely thank the media and the public for their support with this appeal and request that the family be given time to process this devastating news without intrusion or speculation.”
