Wheatus are returning to the UK before they head back to the studio to finish their 7th album.

The band are just one year away from the 20th anniversary of their debut album and single “Teenage Dirtbag”.

By 2020 they’ll release a new and expanded edition of that album in conjunction with a world tour.

Wheatus is made up of Brendan B Brown (lead vocals, guitar), Matthew Milligan (bass), Leo Freire (drums), Brandon Ticer (keyboards), Gabrielle Sterbenz, Joey Slater, Karlie Bruce (all three on backing vocals).

Frontman Brendan B Brown said: “We found demos of about ten songs written alongside the tracks that made the album, but they didn’t get finished.

“Looking at them now, they feel surprisingly fresh and deserving of a proper chance to be heard. So, we’ll have a brand new twenty-song version of our album on its twentieth anniversary… and that all happens in 2020.”
