Five arrested over woman’s death in Grantham

Three men and two women were arrested

Five people have been arrested on suspicion of drug related crimes after woman’s sudden death in Grantham.

Police were called to an address on Eton Street in Grantham at 3.28pm on Tuesday, April 9 after a call for assistance from the ambulance service.

A woman in cardiac arrest was taken to Grantham Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

Lincolnshire Police said that five people were arrested on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter and on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled substance.

The five arrested people were three men aged 43,46 and 48 and two women aged 41 and 47.

Anyone with information should call Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 263 of April 9.

It’s the second incident in less than a week where police have made drug related arrests in connection with a death in the county.

As reported at the time, police are investigating the death of 14-year-old Alex Buchan on Saturday morning in Holbeach. Two teenagers were arrested on suspicion of drug offences.
