Dog day care ‘forced to close’ after noise complaints

They claim to have been given a ruff deal by the landlords

A Lincoln dog day care centre has been “forced to close” after a year.

The Dog Members’ Club, based in South Hykeham, said they were upset and shocked after they were kicked out of their building with three days’ notice.

Anyone with dogs booked in for day care after May 15 will have to rebook at a different centre. They only opened in April 2018 last year.

Managers of the dog day care centre, who said they are heartbroken, are trying to find new premises to lease in the meantime.

Helen Grimsey wrote on their Facebook page The Dog Members’ Club wrote: “We cannot express the shock and upset we are experiencing. The building we lease have had a change of management.

“We were told on April 17 that there had been a year of noise complaints from our neighbouring offices. This was the first we heard of this issue.

“We asked for evidence of a written complaint. Since then, no evidence has been shared with us. Yesterday afternoon, we received a notice that the landlord was throwing us out within three days.”
