Great British Food Festival heading to Lincolnshire

Chef demos, challenges and great food

A Lincolnshire castle is among the venues hosting the Great British Food Festival.

Food producers, tasty street food and bars, an interactive bake stage, live music and more will be part of two days of fun at Grimsthorpe Castle in Bourne.

Grimsthorpe Castle will host the event from 10am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday, June 15-16.

Grimsthorpe Castle is one of the host venues for the Great British Food Festival.

There will also be chef demos including former Great British Bake Off contestants Sandy Docherty, Julia Chernogorova, Howard Middleton and more.

A new feature for 2019 is the Chef’s Table. Two lucky audience members will be invited to the table to sample the dishes cooked by the on-stage chef. Tasters will be available after the demo depending on the dishes being cooked.

The Challenge Stage will provide culinary entertainment including Men V Food and a Cake Off. There will also be live music, foraging walks and more to keep people entertained over the foodie weekend.

There is plenty for children too with circus workshops and an activity zone, with activities all for free.

Tickets are priced at £8 for adults and £5 for children, although there is currently a 10% discount on this bringing it down to £7.20 and £4.50 respectively.

Adult weekend tickets can be purchased for £12 for adults and £7.50 for children. Click here for more information about the event and to purchase tickets.
