Home Bargains opening fourth Scunthorpe store this weekend

The new store will create up to 40 new jobs

Family-run retailer Home Bargains will open a new store in Scunthorpe on Saturday after some £800,000 of investment.

The store will be located at the 26,000 sq ft Unit A1 at Lakeside Retail Park. It will be officially opened at 8am on Saturday, May 25.

The new store will create up to 40 new jobs. It will be the company’s fourth store in Scunthorpe, joining over 500 outlets across the UK.

It will offer shoppers a range of products including homewares, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks and drinks, as well as fresh and frozen food.

The company intends to continue its rapid expansion and has ambitious plans to grow to 800 stores and 35,000 staff.

Operations director at Home Bargains Joe Morris said: “We’re thrilled to be launching our fourth store in Scunthorpe and look forward to welcoming customers through the doors.

“Lakeside Retail Park will be a great location for us and we’re proud to be able to offer local people top-branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”
