Jobs up for grabs at new Lincoln food store

The post office, pharmacy and other shops in the city centre are safe for now

There are 15 jobs up for grabs at a new Lincolnshire Co-op food store opening in the city this summer.

The new Lincolnshire Co-op store will open at 18 to 20 Sincil Street in its place and offer a new “food to go” retail model.

It will replace the city square food store and coffee shop, which will both close on Saturday, June 29.

Services including the pharmacy, post office and other shops in the city centre will continue trading as normal under current plans.

This is what the new store will look like.

We have highlighted in red the location of the new store.

On offer will be takeaway drinks, snacks and hot food all quickly available with self scan tills.

As part of the opening, recruiters are looking for a mix of team leaders and shop assistant roles.

Regional Manager Richard Robinson said: “Our Sincil Street store will be an exciting new format for Lincolnshire Co-op and we’re now recruiting for colleagues who can join the team.

“We need people to help us provide workers, shoppers and travellers in the city centre with a high-quality ‘food-to-go’ retail experience.”
