Lincoln student creates climate change calendar

Many think of flying cars, but Jake has a different idea of future cities

A Lincoln student has created a calendar to demonstrate the risks of climate change.

Flying cars and modern skyscrapers often come to mind when we think of future cities, but Jake Wiseman has a very different idea of what 2030 could look like.

The University of Lincoln student has photoshopped images of various cities around the world to highlight the possible impact of flooding as a result of inaction on climate change.

“I think it’s really easy for people to ignore the things they are told about climate change,” Jake said.

“So I wanted to create something that would show people what is at stake if we don’t act now.”

He wants to find a printing company that would help produce the calendars, with all profits going to climate change charities.

The ‘2030’ World Cities calendar shows cities like London, Amsterdam and New York submerged in water.
