Combining cheese and gin may sound like a bizarre mix, but a company based in Skegness has done just that with a new Gin Infused Cheddar.
The Chuckling Cheese Company based in Skegness will expand their range to include Gin Cheddar on Friday, June 28. It will be available online here and in stores from this date.
The new cheddar is infused with juniper berries to create an authentic gin taste. The Chuckling Cheese Company suggests that the cheddar can be served with fresh strawberries.

The cheese will retail at £4.50 per 200g truffle or as part of a 3 for £12 and 6 for £20 offer. Customers can go to The Hildreds Shopping Centre in Skegness on Friday to sample the new product.
The Chuckling Cheese Company was founded in 2012 by Emma and Stuart Colclough and sells a wide range of cheeses and artisan products including chutneys, sweet treats, cheese wedding cakes and alcoholic beverages.
Director Emma said: “We are super excited to announce this cheese. We have been wanting to add an alcohol inspired flavour cheese to our collection for some time now and this Gin infused Cheddar tastes amazing.
“You can really get flavours of a gin coming through first and then a tonic flavour afterwards. It has nice sweet notes running through it which will go perfectly with a tipple of gin on a summers evening.
“Lymn Bank Farm teamed up with Pin Gin to make this delicate tasting cheese we think it is going to be one of our most popular flavours of cheese yet. All of our staff that have tried it so far have loved it even the ones that don’t like gin! Visit our stores or Kiosks and try for yourself.”
