The sister company to an established kitchen and furniture designer is launching a new showroom of affordable luxury kitchens at the Pelham Centre in Lincoln.
Katie Brown Kitchens will replace The Mattress Man in the 6,400 sq ft unit on Canwick Road after agreeing a seven-year lease. The new showroom is in line for an opening date of Monday, July 15.
Katie Brown Kitchens is a sister company of long-established regional kitchen business Krantz Designs, which is located in the Bailgate area of Lincoln.
Jamie Krantz, of Katie Brown Kitchens, said: “We already have a very well known and established brand in Krantz Designs, which is a design-led company that handcrafts beautiful bespoke kitchens and furniture, but we could see a gap in the market for affordable kitchens with a design eye.
“Myself and Chris Wilburn could see that the demand was there and Lincoln was the obvious choice for us both. It’s a vibrant city with so much going on. The Pelham Centre is perfect for us, with plenty of free on-site parking, and easy access from both the town and the ring road.”
Lambert Smith Hampton were appointed by landlord Howtin Investments to find an occupier for the unit.
Ben Silcock, surveyor at LSH in Lincoln, added: “The company had considered other locations but opted for Lincoln for their new venture. Their attractive showroom will be a very welcome addition to the mix of tenants at the Pelham Centre, which includes Portland Tools, Croft Carpets, Elixir Bathrooms, Party Planet, Machine Mart and ZR Tyres.
“The Pelham Centre is ideal for the business because it is on a busy road and there is plenty of customer parking. The city centre and train station are also within easy walking distance.”
