Motorcyclists injured in three weekend crashes

All three were seriously injured

Three motorbike riders were seriously injured in three separate crashes in Lincolnshire over the weekend.

Lincolnshire Police attended the scene of a crash between a black Ford Fiesta and a motorcycle on the A1028 at around 3.30pm on Sunday, June 30.

The motorbike rider – a man in his 30s – was seriously injured and taken to hospital by air ambulance.

The road was closed at the time at Gunby Corner and Ulceby. Police are urging any witnesses to contact them on 101 quoting incident 313 of June 30.

Earlier in the afternoon at 1.30pm another motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash with a van on the A1084 at Owmby. The motorbike rider was taken to hospital. Any witnesses should call police on 101 quoting incident 250 of June 30.

Police were also called to a crash late on Friday evening. The crash involving a black Ford Fiesta and a Harley Davidson motorbike happened at 11.30pm on June 28 on the A16 at North Thoresby.

A man in his 60s, who was on the motorbike, was seriously injured and taken to hospital. Police are urging any witnesses to contact them on 101 quoting incident 563 of June 28.
