Nurse critically ill after partner gave her ‘noxious substance’

Police have been at the pain clinic over the weekend

A nurse is fighting for her life after her doctor and partner allegedly gave her a noxious substance.

Staff at the hospital, where Kelly Wilson, 31, remains in a serious condition, decided to get the police involved.

Her partner Hossam Metwally, 58, appeared at Grimsby Magistrates on July 8 charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm and administering a noxious substance at an address on Laceby Road.

It is the same address as the Lincs Pain Clinic, where both Kelly and Hossam are registered as directors.

Grimsby Live reported that police remained at the pain clinic throughout the weekend after first attending on Friday.

Doctor Metwally was remanded in custody until August when he will appear at Grimsby Crown Court to enter a plea.
