Police investigate another weekend stabbing in Lincoln

Police have refused to say whether they believe the cases to be linked

Another stabbing incident was reported to police just hours before a man was attacked with a broken bottle in Lincoln

Officers were called to a disturbance on Tower Avenue in the city around 8pm when a man in his 30s suffered a stab wound.

A 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with the stabbing and released under investigation.

Lincolnshire Police is urging anyone with information about the incident to call 101 and quote incident 395 of July 20.

A section of the lower High Street remains cordoned off for investigations.

It came just hours before another man was stabbed in the city centre but police refused to say whether they think the cases could be linked.

As previously reported, three people have been arrested after a man was seriously injured at St Benedict’s Square at around 1.58am on July 21.

Two people were arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, but a third has now been arrested.

Police are still looking for the man pictured. Anyone who has seen him or has information should contact police on 101 quoting Incident 53 of July 21.
