Teen cyclist in critical condition after crash near Grimsby

A woman was treated for minor injuries

A teenage cyclist is in hospital with life threatening injuries after the bike he was riding crashed with a car near Grimsby.

The crash between a red VW Polo and a black and blue Carrera Sulcata mountain bike happened in Waltham at around 2.35pm on Thursday, July 25.

The Polo was travelling making Cheapside, away from Waltham. At the same time a 13-year-old boy on a mountain bike appeared to have emerged from Golf Course Lane before the vehicles collided, police said.

The boy riding the bike was taken to hospital where his condition is described as critical.

The 73-year-old woman driving the car was treated for minor injuries by paramedics.
