The Hykeham Road Post Office will be re-named when it opens in a new location a few miles away from the city centre.
The Post Office located at 42 Hykeham Road was temporarily closed due to operational reasons in February 2018.
Post Office Ltd will open the branch under a new name – Bracebridge Post Office – when it opens in its new location at 1 Rookery Lane, Bracebridge, Lincoln on Tuesday, October 29.
It will have extended opening hours of more than 93 hours a week of Post Office service. Customers of main UK banks will also be able to access their accounts at the new branch.
The branch will be open Monday to Saturday from 8am-9.30pm and Sundays from 9.30am-9.30pm.
It will offer customers a wide range of Post Office services alongside the retail counter of the convenience store. Services will include bill payment, cash withdrawals and foreign currency, postage, home shopping collections and returns.
Ian Johnson, Post Office Change Manager, said: “We are delighted to be restoring a Post Office to this area of Lincoln. The branch will also be open longer hours than before.
“We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents. We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”
The Post Office is inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on the re-opening until October 15, 2019.
Customers can share their views during the consultation online at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 199324. Submissions can also be made via email to [email protected], by phone on 03452 660115, textphone on 03457 223355 or by post.
