Two die in separate Christmas day crashes in Lincolnshire

A man and a woman died

A man and a woman have died after two separate crashes in Lincolnshire on December 25.

The first crash happened near Louth at around 3pm, on Yarburgh Road near Covenham St Mary.

Emergency services were called after a blue Audi A6 had left the road.

The driver, a man believed to be in his 50s, died at the scene.

The second crash happened on Louth Road at North Cockerington about 5.50pm, when grey BMW crashed with a silver Ford Fiesta.

Two people from the Fiesta were taken to Grimsby Hospital for treatment to their injuries.

A passenger in the Fiesta, a woman believed to be in her 70s, has died in hospital later on Wednesday.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, dashcam footage, or people who saw any the cars before the incident.
