Underground casinos and horror experience among new Lincoln escape rooms

Other activities will also be available at the entertainments venue

Get ready for underground casinos, the heist of the century and other exciting escape rooms after Escape Lincoln opened a £250,000 second site in Lincoln.

Escape Lincoln opened its first site in the Sessions House building at Lincoln College on Monks Road in November 2018. The firm’s latest second site opened at Vulcan Park on George Street, off Great Northern Terrace, on December 9, 2019.

The new attraction will have five themed rooms, including The Plaza Casino, which are ready to try now.

A new room called ‘Gone in 60 minutes’, based on a major heist, will open in February, although an exact date has not yet been set.

Two other rooms are also in the pipeline, which will be based around a log cabin in a forest and a horror experience room in a metal container outside.

Escape Lincoln hope the final two rooms will open soon.

It won’t just be about escape challenges though. There will also be free customer WiFi and plenty of parking, as well as an innovative space for activities including a pool table, shuffle board and a retro gaming machine. There will also be a bar and seating area.

The rooms are priced at £20 per adult and £15 for under-16s. NHS, student and military discounts of 20% off are available, as well as corporate and large group booking packages including birthday and hen parties.

The investment for the whole site of completion is £250,000. Once the whole site is up and running it is expected to create around 6-10 new jobs.

The new rooms

The Plaza Casino – open now

Sources discover an underground casino with a vault said to hold millions. Security cameras have been successfully disabled for one hour and your mission is to steal as much as you can and escape before the time is up.

The money is said to be scattered across the area guarded by a series of puzzles and riddles. Hidden tools and clues are available to aid with the head-to-head mission.
