Chow Down Lincoln food festival returns for three big weekends

Independent street food, craft beer, cocktails and family fun is all on the menu

Chow Down food festival will storm Lincoln Castle for three tastebud tickling weekends this summer.

Independent street food, craft beer, cocktails and family fun is on the menu on the Easter Weekend in April, May bank holiday weekend, and mid-August.

Expect something for everyone, with cuisines from all over the world. Plus, around a quarter of the stalls will be either vegetarian and vegan.

Chow Down will be in the city from April 10 to 13, May 22 to 25 and August 21 to 23.

Organisers have not yet released a list of traders or the price of entry but the previous food festival cost £3 for entry and Lincoln Castle annual pass holders got in free.

The first event last year was so successful with around 15,000 food and drink fans visiting that they set up a second date a couple of months later.

If the sound of that gets your mouth watering then check out the Chow Down Facebook page for more details.
