Lorry crashes off A15 north of Lincoln

The road north of Lincoln was closed in both directions

The A15 north of Lincoln was closed in both directions after a lorry left the road and crashed.

The collision happened just before 9am on Wednesday, February 5 just north of Blyborough Grange and did not involve any other vehicles.

Lincolnshire Police said: “The driver is unhurt. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.”

The road will be reopened once recovery of the vehicle is complete.

The stretch of road is notorious for lorries slipping off the verge.

Last year, a local farmer called for the road to be widened following a string of accidents.

The Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership indicated previously that the road could be reduced to 50mph in the future.
