Boy, 14, arrested over Alford stabbing

Another teenager has been arrested

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after a 16-year-old was reportedly stabbed in Alford on Sunday.

Lincolnshire Police were called to Parsons Lane in Alford at 7.25pm on Sunday, March 1 and closed the road at the junction of Hamilton Road and Holywell Road whilst they dealt with the incident.

A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with a serious injury, but it is not believed to be life threatening, police said.

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested and remains in custody.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “A 16-year-old male has been taken to hospital with a suspected stab wound.

“A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with this and remains in custody and will be questioned in due course.”

Police are appealing for witnesses to this incident and anyone with information should contact them on 101 quoting incident 371 of March 1.
