Firefighters attend blaze at Lincoln home

Nobody was hurt

Police are advising people to avoid the area as emergency services deal with a house fire on Brant Road in Waddington, Lincoln.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were called at 12.57pm to a property in a garage on Brant Road that spread to the house.

The fire has been extinguished, but an investigation has now been launched by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.

Nobody was reportedly injured.

A resident on a nearby street could see thick black smoke in the air.

An eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous, told The Lincolnite they saw lots of black smoke from a property located between Valley Road and Lime Crescent shortly after 1pm.

They also saw that part of the road was taped off and two fire engines, two ambulance cars and multiple police were in attendance.

Part of the road was cordoned off.

Lincolnshire Police said: “Emergency services are dealing with a house fire. Please avoid the area if possible.”

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue said: “Lincoln North and Lincoln South attended but the fire is now extinguished and Lincoln North has returned to the station. Fire investigations are now underway.”
