Hykeham pub to reopen under new owner

New tenant took it on after March closure

By Local Democracy Reporter

A pub in North Hykeham that closed in March will be taken over by new tenants who are ready for the big return next month.

The Harrows Inn on Lincoln Road, was closed down by the previous tenants back in March, but it will now be taken over by experienced pub owner Daniel Johnson.

It will reopen on August 14, after Daniel signed the lease on July 31.

Daniel also runs The Prussian Queen in Saltfeeltby, near Mablethorpe, and he is excited about the fresh start.

“I feel very confident about reopening, it’s a pub loved by the locals and we are working hard to put in place all the necessary social distancing measures.

“There is no other pub up this end of the city, so we are excited to be a new business opening despite the struggles of COVID-19.”

The Harrows Inn will plan to serve food in the coming months, as well as having a number of guest ales to choose from.

The new landlord also hopes to bring back live entertainment, as well as the darts and pool teams once coronavirus restrictions are lifted.
