The lion statue situated in the Arboretum park in Lincoln has had paint thrown over it by vandals overnight.

The statue has paint marks all over the base from when someone threw a paint can at it overnight on Tuesday.

A chair and the can of paint were left on the plinth as well.

The city council said it will be cleaned and restored soon. Photo: CoLC
