A Lincolnshire farm shop has designed a new maze with a special NHS tribute, and it opens this weekend.

Uncle Henry’s Farm Shop in Grayingham, ten miles from Gainsborough, created the 5-acre maize maze to say thank you to all the NHS key workers for what they have done during the coronavirus pandemic.

The maze will be open from Saturday, July 18 and will stay open seven days a week under new lockdown guidelines.

Tickets are £8 per person and must be pre-booked online, as visitors are challenged to find ten letters within the maze to uncover a hidden message.

There will also be new farmyard crazy golf, as well as other outdoor activities, and the return of the cafe for meal bookings and takeaways.

General manager Graham Ward said: “2020 so far has been an extremely challenging year for everyone, and we wanted to take the opportunity to do something positive with our Maize Maze design and say a big thank you to everyone working within the NHS.

“We are pleased that COVID-19 lockdown rules have been eased in time to allow us to open the maze for the summer season and we look forward to welcoming customers to Uncle Henry’s to enjoy a COVID secure outdoor activity.”
