New 24-hour gym to open in Gainsborough

Replacing DW in Marshall’s Yard

Snap Fitness will open a brand new 24-hour gym in Gainsborough in December.

It will be located in the former DW Sports Fitness Unit at Marshall’s Yard. DW Sports Fitness closed when the company went into administration shortly after reopening in August.

The swimming pool at the gym will be operated separately when the new gym opens.

The gym is currently being fitted out with new equipment and it will also house cardio and resistance areas, as well as a large free weights section.

There will also be a spacious fitness studio with a timetable of free group classes.

In addition, the gym will also have what it describes as a boutique functional training area with training aids.

Members will be able to take on a monthly rolling membership without committing to a six or 12-month contract.

You can register your interest in joining here.

The staff team will be headed up by former DW manager and assistant manager Alex Colebrook and Laura Markham, who were taken on by Snap.

Hannah Foster, Franchise Manager of the DS Group, franchisees for Snap Fitness, said: “We are really excited about opening our new gym here in Gainsborough in December, it’s going to look fantastic and we’re sure gym goers will be impressed and will be ready to join us on their fitness journey.

“We are really pleased that Alex and Laura are also joining the Snap team and working with us on launching the new gym.”

Charlotte Toplass, Tenant Liaison Executive at Marshall’s Yard, said: “The news is going to be really well received by former members of DW who have been so keen to hear of a new operator taking over the gym.”
