TGI Fridays opening in Lincoln before Christmas

American-style bar restaurant moving into the city

TGI Fridays is hoping to move into the former Carluccio’s restaurant on Lincoln High Street before Christmas.

Banks Long & Co negotiated the deal during lockdown and Lincoln is one of two sites TGI Fridays is taking over with the second in Cobham, Surrey.

TGI Fridays will replace Carluccio’s on a long-term lease after the Italian restaurant group fell into administration.

Tim Bradford, Managing Director of Banks Long & Co, said: “The Carluccio’s in Lincoln was not one of the restaurants bought out of administration by Boparan, better known for its Giraffe and Ed’s Easy Diner brands, so we had to move quickly to secure a new deal with TGI Fridays.”

A TGI Fridays spokesperson said this summer: “We are very excited to be welcoming the city of Lincoln into the Fridays fold.”
