Double loan signing for Mariners

This takes Grimsby’s total number of signings to 14

Grimsby Town Football Club have completed the loan signings of winger Kyle Bennett and forward Owen Windsor.

Bennett, who began his footballing career at Wolverhampton Wanderers, joins the club on loan from Bristol Rovers until the end of the season.

The 30-year-old has scored 40 goals in over 380 career appearances and has spent the last three years at Bristol Rovers.

He has also had spells at Bury, Doncaster Rovers, Crawley Town, Bradford City, Portsmouth and, most recently, on loan at Swindon Town.

Windsor has joined the League Two club on loan from Premier League side West Bromwich Albion until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old impressed with West Brom’s Under-18s before his introduction into the Baggies’ Premier League 2 squad this season, scoring five goals in as many appearances.

This takes Grimsby’s total number of new recruits to 14 after the signings of Bilel Mohsni, Ira Jackson Jr, Montel Gibson, Alhagi Touray Sisay, Danny Rose, Sean Scannell, Danny Preston, Luke Spokes, Owura Edwards, Terry Taylor, James Morton and George Williams.
